First Class Fishing
The Chapleau area is well known for excellent fishing experienced veteran or first time novice we have something for everyone.
What's your favorite?
We offer our clients lots of fishing fun. Choose from our excellent choice of mighty fighters and lazy lunkers ˆ Walleye, Northern Pike, Lake or Speckled Trout, Whitefish, Small Mouth Bass and Perch.
What's your season?
Fishing commences in early May right after the ice leaves. That's when the Lake Trout and Northern Pike patrol the shallow waters and give some serious action for anglers. Walleye season opens on the third Saturday of May and fishing for all species continues into mid to late September.
Where do you want to go?
Choose the location and we can recommend the transportation. If you want isolation and privacy we can fly you into a remote lake and put you up in a cozy cabin. If the best of all worlds is your choice then we suggest you drive right to one of our lodges that offer true Canadian wilderness within a short drive of local shopping centres, tourist attractions and specialized services.
Rough it or be pampered?
When it's time to relax, the choice of accommodations is yours. Choose full American Plan and enjoy the best in lodgings and home cooked meals; housekeeping cabins for comfort, privacy and the chance to be your own chef; tent or trailer camping for those who want to rough it. We can handle all party sizes from large groups and families to singles.
Full outfitting is available ˆ boats, motors, gas, licenses and bait are available from our vacation specialists. Licenses are available from one day up to seasonal. Information on fishing regulations can be obtained by going to the Ministry of Natural Resources web site.
