Fly-In Adventures

For years the float plane has been the work horse for Northern Ontario. The plane has been as instrumental in opening up Northern Ontario has the train and the construction of highways. The float plane has taken people into the outreaches of Northern Ontario for prospecting, delivery of goods, fishing and hunting. This is still the case today for much of the secluded Northern Ontario. From Chapleau there is access to a wild range of lakes, outpost camps and lodges.

    Chapleau and Area Outpost Camps
Over the past four decades Chapleau has become well known for quality outpost camps and excellent fly-in service. There are currently over 100 commercial outpost camps in the district waiting to host your party. A selection of fly-in lodges also offer American Plan with meals and guides.

    Fine Fishing
The predominant fish species in these remote area lakes are Walleye, Northern Pike, Whitefish and Perch with some lakes hosting Speckled Trout and Lake Trout. The cooler waters of the Arctic Watershed mean that the pike and walleye are often in shallow areas well into summer.
